SALT LAKE CITY – Oct. 3, 2025 – Today, Nusano’s Melissa Daniels was recognized as a “Rising Star” by the Women Tech Council at a luncheon in downtown Salt Lake City.
The Women Tech Council focuses on accelerating the economic impact of women in technology and innovation. The organization’s annual Rising Star Awards recognize high-potential women with less than 10 years into their careers who are already making a significant impact in technology and innovation
Daniels is a Nuclear Engineer with a degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. Entering the field four years ago, she specializes in the production of radioisotopes using particle accelerators. She is a named inventor on both filed and pending patents including a bremsstrahlung converter that increased the thermal capacity of isotope production processes that use photons converted from electrons to produce isotopes and isotope separation technology.
At Nusano, Melissa continues to advance the field, working on advanced radioisotope production and separation technologies. With a focus on precision and safety, Melissa shares her skills and passion with both her teammates and the community.
